New FoamCutCNC 2025 Electronics
Here is finally version 2.2 (2025) of the electronic control board with MANY new features introduced!
It can work with the DevCncFoam program or with GrblGru
It allows the control of a 5-axis machine (4 axes plus rotary table), and is complete with the entire wire heating control section.

The advantages of this PCB are:

Ability to mount the standard drivers used in 3D printers, see DRV8825, A4988, LV8729, TMC2130, TMC2225 and several others, all easily replaceable in case of failure.

ALL inputs and outputs from the microcontroller are now opto-isolated

You can mount Arduino DUE (32 Bit), Arduino Mega 2560, Arduino Mega 2560 Embed, STM 32 F411 Black Pill (32 Bit), all boards are easily replaceable thanks to the socket.

12 V opto-isolated limit switches on the 4 axes, avoiding false signals due to cable length.

Wire temperature control section by means of PWM system managed by a programmed PIC,

Buzzer acoustic signaling wire warming up switchable by diverter on front panel

Led visual signaling wire warming up

Possibility to have dual power supply for motors and wire in case wire supply voltage exceeds maximum working voltage of stepper drivers, or single unified power supply.

12V and 5V buck voltage reducer, inserted as modules, for supplying limit switch opto-isolators and supplying stepper modules.

Double fuse per wire (one external on rear panel and one internal safety fuse), and general motor power supply and fuse for each individual stepper module!

Wire temperature control panel with wire supply voltage and current draw display

Variation of wire temperature by two buttons, storage of maximum and minimum values and rest values, the set value remains in memory even after board power off

Diverter switch for wire control operation in automatic or manual mode

Wire heating also in manual mode even without computer connection, useful for cleaning and wire temperature check

The most advantageous thing about this board, is the almost total elimination of connecting wires between connectors, board, microcontroller, limit switches, avoiding as much as possible connection errors, false contacts and possible breakage of driver modules and the installed microcontroller board itself, even the control panel, connects to the motherboard via a simple flat connector.
